A neighbourhood beer hall in the middle of everything
A Lota opened in 1972 on Rua do Jardim do Regedor, the pedestrian street linking Restauradores to Rua das Portas de Santo Antão. Fifty years on it does the same thing: fresh shellfish, chargrilled fish and clay-pot rice, served without fuss.
We are a cervejaria, which in Lisbon means a marble counter, a well-poured draught and a kitchen open from mid-morning until after midnight. Come at any hour, with or without a booking, and eat well.
The terrace is heated for cool evenings and the dining room is air-conditioned for hot days. High chairs, step-free access and tables for large groups.
